Changelog

User-facing changes to SourceFinch, newest first.

Clearer first run, quickstart and docs

  • A 5-minute quickstart for the console, the REST API and MCP, plus a recipe reference, an evidence and export guide, and a plain-language rights guide.
  • The empty workspace recommends one good first source, says when the next check runs, and shows due runs as “Due now”.

Verified source catalog and bulk files

  • A public catalog of Verified sources, each tested by our own runner, with fields, sample output, observed reliability and reviewed usage rights. Available on the web, REST, SDK, CLI and MCP.
  • Monitor a Verified source with its exact reviewed recipe and version; stale or modified definitions are rejected instead of silently drifting.
  • CSV and TSV files, gzip, Latin-1 and typed fields, up to 10,000 records per run.
  • New Verified sources for community associations, condominium projects and real estate.

Receipts you can hand to someone else

  • Signed run manifests, anchored with RFC 3161 timestamps where available, and downloadable evidence bundles (WACZ) that can be verified offline.
  • Field locators and screenshots captured with the evidence.
  • Change emails with field-level diffs and evidence links, daily digests and one-click unsubscribe.
  • Signed, retried webhooks; CSV, JSON, NDJSON and XLSX exports with evidence references.
  • The REST API v1 with an OpenAPI 3.1 description, a hosted MCP server with OAuth sign-in, and a TypeScript SDK and CLI (publication to npm pending).
  • Source health: a run that looks broken compared with recent healthy runs is marked degraded instead of becoming your current data, and failed runs are never charged.

SourceFinch

  • The hosted product is now SourceFinch at sourcefinch.com, with free signup, published prices and self-serve plans.
  • Google sign-in, bot protection on sign-up and optional two-factor authentication.
