What the data contains
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System publishes its monetary policy press releases (Federal Open Market Committee statements after each meeting, FOMC minutes three weeks later, the Summary of Economic Projections, minutes of the Board's discount rate meetings and other monetary policy announcements) on federalreserve.gov and as an RSS feed of the 15 most recent releases. This source reads the feed hourly and makes one record per release, keyed by its link, with the headline, category and publication time. A monitor reports each new release within the hour, for example an FOMC statement at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on decision days. Release pages are not fetched. Headlines describe policy actions and documents, not individuals (speeches and testimony are separate feeds and are not read). A release leaving the 15-item window is not a withdrawal. SourceFinch is independent of the Federal Reserve.
Fields and types
Every record has these fields. The key field url identifies a record across runs, so changes are reported field by field.
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
urlkey | url | Link to the press release on federalreserve.gov (the feed's guid); the page is not fetched. The record key. |

published | string, nullable | Publication time as published in the feed (RFC 822, for example Wed, 7 Oct 2026 18:00:00 GMT). |

]Evidence behind every value
- Each run keeps the publisher's exact response, hashed with SHA-256. This sample came from a response with hash
4da6e4dda2a0338bcb159ebfeabd695341f14ca255469a48ec90002655711a45. - Every value records where it came from in that response: a CSS path into the retained capture.
- Each run gets a signed manifest (Ed25519) timestamped by an RFC 3161 authority: this run's manifest hash is
7740477db59c3a6c80713688bbf8ba087023f739d357cf329c28f05bd0a8f058, timestamped October 12, 2026. - The compliance state at capture is recorded with the evidence: robots.txt hash and verdict, AI-preference signals, crawler identity and the usage rights below.
- Download any run as an evidence bundle (WACZ) and check it offline, without trusting SourceFinch:
sourcefinch verify-bundle run.wacz.

The Federal Reserve Board's website policies state that, unless otherwise indicated, information on the Board's website is in the public domain and may be copied and distributed without permission, citing the Board as the source; material identified as belonging to a non-Board source, and the Board's seals and logos, are excluded. www.federalreserve.gov serves no robots.txt (HTTP 404), which RFC 9309 treats as allowing access. The feeds begin with a UTF-8 byte-order mark, which the worker records as a decoding step.

Measured on completed runs of this recipe version across SourceFinch, anonymized, within a rolling 30-day window. First successful observation: October 12, 2026. A new recipe has only the history collected since that date; this is not a 30-day uptime guarantee.
Use it
Every surface creates the same monitor from this Verified recipe. Monitors keep record history, report field-level changes and deliver by webhook, export or email. You confirm you have the right to collect the source (rights: true).
Console
Open this recipe in the console: it preserves the reviewed URL, fields and record key. Review the latest captured sample, confirm source rights, and choose a schedule before creating your monitor.
Portable recipe
Copy into the console's Import or share a recipe panel to customize fields, types and schedules. This configuration contains no captured records or workspace IDs.
