What the data contains
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) publishes weekly average retail prices for regular gasoline statewide and for 16 regions (Albany, Batavia, Binghamton, Buffalo, Dutchess, Elmira, Glens Falls, Ithaca, Kingston, Nassau, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Watertown and White Plains) as the Gasoline Retail Prices Weekly Average by Region dataset on data.ny.gov. NYSERDA compiles the averages from survey data for its weekly transportation fuels report. This source asks the dataset's SODA API for the 52 most recent weeks on each daily run, naming every column it reads, and makes one record per week keyed by the week's date, with each price typed as a number of dollars per gallon. A monitor reports each new week and any revision. The data is aggregate price statistics and contains no personal data. SourceFinch is independent of NYSERDA and the State of New York.

]Evidence behind every value
- Each run keeps the publisher's exact response, hashed with SHA-256. This sample came from a response with hash
0ae2d3ebe2e52b0b31fa9626d259c653c5a90d0c2df8e0e2d621fe690ee0b2b7. - Every value records where it came from in that response: a JSON Pointer into the retained capture.
- Each run gets a signed manifest (Ed25519) timestamped by an RFC 3161 authority: this run's manifest hash is
2c3652e80efe6f92f79ed79af5ccfa43edbbe4d165df74687d1cc7119d42364b, timestamped October 12, 2026. - The compliance state at capture is recorded with the evidence: robots.txt hash and verdict, AI-preference signals, crawler identity and the usage rights below.
- Download any run as an evidence bundle (WACZ) and check it offline, without trusting SourceFinch:
sourcefinch verify-bundle run.wacz.

OPEN-NY Terms of Use: anyone may freely download and use data.ny.gov content for any lawful purpose, including private-sector projects, with no attribution, licence re-posting, share-alike or pre-approval requirement.
